WP1 Primary reflector coatings

  1. Improving the methodology to make service lifetime estimations of reflector backside coatings by correlating the outdoor test results with accelerated climate chamber tests.
  2. Design and produce low cost, high reflective and light weight composite heliostat, to meet the ambitious goal posed by the Materials Roadmap and the DOE SunShot program: installed heliostat cost of  68€/m², winds of up to 135 km/h and longevity of more than 30 years,
  3. Evaluation of two anti-soiling coatings for reflectors regarding dust repellent properties, durability and cost effectiveness through long-term exposure under realistic conditions in Spain and Morocco and accelerated aging tests in climate chambers.
